An e-commerce packaging box designed and manufactured by Fencor Packaging Group Limited in Peterborough, on behalf of PMYK, has featured on the BBC’s Dragon’s Den.
Piers Linney and Kelly Hoppen were the two successful Dragons to each secure a 7.5% stake in online men’s clothing specialist Enclothed for a total investment of £70,000.
It was interesting to see the boxes displayed on TV in all their glory and to hear the comments of Duncan Banatyne, who was the first wanting to get a closer look at the box, and the rest of the Dragons.
Judging by the success Enclothed founders Levi Young and Dana Zingher have achieved after just a year in the marketplace, Piers Linney and Kelly Hoppen seem to have made an astute investment. Although it’s also fair to say that Young and Zingher chose well too. Piers Linney, being co-CEO of IT company Outsourcery, knows a thing or two about the online world and was very taken by the software and database function used to run the company. Kelly Hoppen of course is well known as a successful designer and businesswoman so the support, input and backing of the two Dragons should make for some interesting Board Meetings. I’m sure we’ll see a lot more of Enclothed.
Fencor Packaging, of course, wish this innovative, energetic and enthusiastic company all the very best for the future and look forward to following their success with keen interest … not least of all as they have excellent taste in e-commerce packaging.
